Two seasons ago we took our team to a little known cat skiing operation outside of Nelson, B.C.. We‘d heard rumors of a small lodge nestled in the heart of snow country founded by a couple ski fanatics who were determined to make a name for themselves. Supposedly they had a different idea of what a “real” backcountry operation should be.
We showed up with reserved expectations. Ten days later we left with our stoke meter pinned to the edge of the dial and a new partnership in the making. The only way to understand Retallack is to ski there, and the only way to design a true backcountry jacket is to work with one of the best cat skiing operations on the planet. Orage has done both.
Building upon the ’08 Prosper jacket designed in collaboration with Retallack, we’re bringing the instant classic back. Once again we’ve done everything within our power to design a backcountry guide’s dream jacket and we’ve been told that the ’09 Retallack is the ski jacket equivalent of a golden slipper. This PR1ME 20 Twill 3 Ply comes equipped with waterproof zippers, 180 vision, reflective print detailing, hiking suspenders; 17” pit zips, a lycra powder skirt and is hydration pack compatible. In other words, The Retallack jacket is a backcountry skiers dream come true.
