Team Blog

The Orage Team Blog is updated automatically with emails, photos and txt messages sent by our athletes from across the globe. This portion of our website is not translated, but with a team representing four different continents and speaking five different native languages you should be able to find a little big of everything in the mix.

Orage heads to Magik4 Laval for an autogrpah sesh

NOVEMBER 28 / 08

Well, the team is nearly here in Montreal for the 1st team shoot of the year and man is it about to get nuts. For those of you who don't know, they can be everything you had hoped for a complete disaster but whatever they turn out to be they're always a ton of fun. Anyway, the team trip will be another story in itself and I'll let you know how it goes once complete.

What I really wanted to tell everyone is that Orage's Global team which includes TJ Schiller, JP Auclair, Michelle Parker and Phil Casabon will be heading to Magik4 in Laval on December 6th, 2008 between 10am and 11am to sign autographs, give away free product and just plain hang out. After that we'll be heading to St Sauveur for the rest of the day to get our shred on. Anyone is welcome to come and hang with us on this day...at least anyone within a reasonable driving distance. Sorry to the rest of you, really.

Anyway, that's all for now...I've got to get this team shoot dialed.

Lates!

Regional Athlete Derek White Posting Up!

Blog Report; Orage
Being new to a team, I guess this is one of those tests you have to go through to prove yourself (hahaha) so here it goes my first blog ever. Movie premieres are over, as I stare out the window in my Math 12 class, snow begins to fall, let’s hope it stays! My home mountain is set to open this Sunday, I will be out doing some laps with the homies and some of the boys from Silver Star. Its goona be sick to actually get out there and get some turns in, because the little rail setup we have up the hill is defiantly becoming outdated. Sun Peaks Resort is my home mountain and I am super stoked to say that the Sun Peaks terrain park is now sponsored by Monster Energy, and that Orage will be putting on a Anti Tour stop here December 27th/2008 which I will be jammin’ at, keeping the vibe high! I look forward to an absolute banger year; filming, traveling, competing and helping out at events whenever possible. From my first trip to the US Open planned for this season to putting on the Anti Tour stop here in Sun Peaks, I can’t wait to see what this season holds. So now it seems only fitting since this is my first blog report to give some praise to the ones who have made this possible; Fergie Cancade and TJ for thinking I am cool enough to roll with the Orage posse. Cody and Sue for making it happen here at Orage, Sun Peaks Resort, Oakley, Liberty, LSL, the parents, Nick Neu, Corey Wiwchar, Aaron Long, and Toby Ianson.
See you December 27th/2008, holler!

Phily C takes 3rd at Peak Performance's King of Style!

NOVEMBER 24 / 08

Orage is proud to congratulate Phil on his early season 3rd place finish at Peak Performance's King of Style at Winerjam in Stolkholm Sweden this past Saturday. Phil placed 3rd behind PK Hunder of Norway and local phenom Jon Olsson. The field of competitors also included skiing powerhouses Simon Dumont, Colby West and Rich Permin to name a few making this a gratifying podium for the rising young star. Phil took home 3rd with a huge Switch Bio 10 tail followed by a smooth Cork 9 nose.
Keep it up young Jedi!

Blaaahhhging.

NOVEMBER 22 / 08

I know this isn't really skiing related or Orage related for that matter, but I think it's worth sharing anyways. After all, this is a blog...right?

I've just finished reading Three Cups of Tea written by Greg Mortneson and David Oliver Relin. It's the winner of The Kiriyama Prize and tells the story of fighting terrorism with education. It's truly an inspiration piece of work and I'm sure it will benifit you in one way or another.

Even if you aren't really into reading, you should read this book. Everybody should read this book!

For more information visit www.threecupsoftea.com.

Thanks for reading my book suggestion! I hope you guys are getting more snow than Tahoe is. It's been pretty warm here and it's feels like mid summer.

If you are at all interested in what I've been up to as of late you can check in at www.michelle-parker.com. I'll try to be more consistent at posing on this site too. Just need more and better content...I'm not into reading and writting about nothing. Happy winter!
