Roz on the podium once again

FEBRUARY 12 / 08

Orage's Rosalind G. continues to make a name for herself on the comp circuit with her second podium finish in two weeks. Fresh off a 3rd place finish at the US Open at Copper, Roz took home another bronze finish and some cold hard cash at this past weekend's Jeep "48 Straight" event held at Squaw Valley, CA.

Throwing down huge 7's and 9's Rosalind finished just behind Jen Hudak and Sarah Burke... Not bad company for the Orage Am... Congrats Roz.

Womens top 3 @ the Jeep "48 Straight" / Squaw Valley:
1st Sarah Burke (CAN)
2nd Jen Hudak (USA)
3rd Roz G (CAN)

For More Info on Roz G, check out her rider bio on the orage team page.

Pros and Powder Stop # 4 - Boyne Mountain Michigan

FEBRUARY 10 / 08

Stop # 4 * Orage Pros and Powder Tour, Boyne Mountain Michigan

Well after about a 20 hour travel day Friday, countless wrong turns and
an overly pricey rental car, we arrived safe and sound in beautiful
Boyne Michigan for stop # 4 of the Pros and Powder Tour. Although tired
and hungry, the team was ready for the fourth leg of the Tour bright and
early Saturday morning.

Now Orage came to Michigan last year for the tour as well and were so
impressed we decided to book ourselves in for year two. With helping
hands from local reps Karen and John Kerkhof and Event Manager Dan
Turcott at Boyne Mountain we were able to get the stop underway to
entertain hundreds of Boyne locals. The USSA slopestyle and pipe event
were happening at the same time so there were plenty of people to hang
with. Michelle fore ran the event while TJ held the fort down at the
booth signing posters, throwing down high fives and managing the music.
At one point there may have even been a few bad words on the stereo
causing quite the fuss with some friendly Boyne locals. Sorry about that
again.

There were familiar faces from last years stop and it felt truly as
though we*d never left. The kids out in Michigan are great and we had
an absolute blast joking around, skiing, singing autographs and cooking
hot dogs. Even some of the kids pitched in with setup, teardown and
cooking of the dogs. Thanks again guys.

Bottom line, Michigan kills it and as long as there is a Pros and
Powder Tour, we*ll be coming back. Big thanks to our partnering brands
Volkl, Marker Tecnica, SBC Skier magazine, Newschoolers.com and of
course Boyne Mountain. Join us for stop # 5 at CODA*s Canada Olympic
Park in Calgary Alberta.

Caio for now!
