Orage hangs with COC day 2

JUNE 25 / 08

Well today was another beautiful day here in Whistler BC and the sun drew skiers out in droves to the COC lanes which were again in prime condition. Can you say sunstroke anyone? Last night saw the arrival of loads of skiers pro and am alike all ready to get their shred dog on for yet another summer of COC action. Some of these skiers included Orage’s very own Jaime P Briones straight out of Barcelona, Spain and the young Quebec native Philly Casabon. What’s more, is that Dr Van Valin will be joining us tonight so I anticipate that the level of skiing and of course entertainment will soon be through the roof.

Once again, for those of you not in the know, The Orage Summer Contest Series is now underway. Head to orage.com/oscs for contest entry details. The contest will be running throughout the summer and we’ll be handing out loads of product to the winners all summer long.

Orage Hangs at COC

JUNE 24 / 08

While most companies this time of year are just recovering from the recent winter’s past, there are those brands that continue to be a part of and push skiing all year round. Fortunately, Orage remains to be one of these brands. We understand that skiers ski even when the snow melts, we understand that continual ski related web content matters to those like us and for this reason, we welcome summer skiing with open arms!

Today was an amazing day at the Camp of Champions in Whistler BC and with the COC lanes in prime condition and the sun shining, we’re pretty happy little campers. Orage will be here in Whistler for the next 30 days offering grip loads of free Orage outerwear and lifestyle gear, stickers, bandannas and camper discount cards to all those present. We’ll also be working with additional ski brands such as 4FRNT and Joystick to bring you a camper contest each week!

COC is presently the longest running glacier camp in Whistler and they’ve got their program dialed. Everyone from camper to coach is on hill having a good time and even after the ski day is done there’s still plenty to keep you occupied. If you haven’t yet been here in the summer time, check it out and join Orage and the team for a day, week or even month of summer action. Oh yeah, remember to visit http://www.orage.com/ for details of the Orage summer contest series that runs from now until the end of the summer. When the summer blues have got you down, we’ve got your back.

AK Memories

JUNE 10 / 08

Alaska is so much more than another ski destination. For me, it felt more like a vacation. I miss it. I thought I would share some of the memories. It was an amazing month of April and I was really stoked to be a part of the trip along with JP, Pep, Sammy, Tim, and Poor Boyz. We didn't get as much ski time as we would have liked, but that's the way it goes. I went up there for the experience and that's more than I came back with. It's a place where you have to put your time in to see the results. It's also a place that you can't have expectations, especially in yourself. I thought, going into the trip, that I would get to ski some lines that I've seen in the movies...but I quickly had to put myself in check and take baby steps...AK is not the place to get ahead of yourself.

Montreal Part 2

JUNE 03 / 08

Soccer gaming

The trip was a sucess. After we did the photo shoot, which was pretty funny, TJ, Luke, and I got to check out the city. We ate Montreal smoked meat at Schwartz's, checked out some stores, watched a soccer game, and celebrated Bruno's birthday at his Italian restaraunt.

The lineup

Schwartz's was probably the highlight of the last few days in Montreal. We got lucky and went on a rainy day, so the line didn't wrap around the block, but we still had to wait for a while. Apparently they go through a ton of meat every day and have 6 to 7 tons being marinated in the room upstairs every week. That's a lot of meat.

Montreal

MAY 27 / 08

Montreal by night

I'm here in Montreal right now along with the rest of the Orage team (Luke, TJ, JP, and Phil). We're having meetings about all sorts of Orage stuff from adds to product. It's always interesting to hear companies talk. You can learn a lot from it and today I walked out of the office really inspired. I haven't quite put my finger on what I'm inspired about, but I think it's good. Like maybe I'm on to something, we'll see. Maybe I'm just really pumped and jealous of Reebok pumps.

I learned some new things about my team mates on this trip too. Like how TJ likes to order two meals for dinner and take one home for later. Or that Phil can be pressured into buying things he doesn't want or like. Luke has a great singing voice and JP sometimes speaks french with and english accent so people think he has really good french for an anglophone.

The trip isn't over yet. We still have lots to do and discuss, but for now, this post is over. I'll share more about Montreal later.
