The Orage Summer Contest Series –
Well as summer has officially come to a close and fall is peeking its head around the corner its time for us here at Orage to finalize the Orage Summer Contest Series, determine who’ll be walking away with the goods and power through into winter.
Over the last 3 months we’ve received some great submissions for all the contests and some less than great submissions also. Regardless of who owned it and who got owned we were proud to offer you something else to do during this sweatbox of a summer.
Now for your viewing pleasure we present to you your finalists of this years Orage Summer Contest Series. We’d expect nothing less than a little newschoolers.com trash talk so hop to it kiddies and get er done.
Part 1: Summer Camp Video Contest
Here’s the winning submission that came from Windells at Mount Hood Oregon sent to us by Will Start out of Spokane Washington.
And here's the winning submission that came from the Camp of Champion's in Whistler BC sent to us by Olivier Button out of Whistler BC.
Nice work boys. We'll be in touch with you in the next few weeks to make sure you collcet your prizing.
Part 2: Summer Heat Rail Jam
This experimental contest wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. The idea was to allow skiers (you!) to submit images to us even if you didn’t have a video camera or point and shoot camera on hand. What better way to embrace technology than through the use of your cell phone right? Uh, sort of…What we ended up receiving was a bunch of B Grade submissions that were hardly legible. Oh well, lesson learned. Next time we’ll make this one little easier to follow along and until then we send our apologies…
Part 3: Ultimate Crossover Contest

Part 3: Ultimate Crossover Contest
For this fine contest we actually received more submissions than we thought we would. Turns out people are really proud of what they do in the off season and love to show us what's going down in their home town, state or province. Anyway, we narrowed it down to the submissions you can find on newschoolers.com at this link.
We'll need your help deciding who the winner will be so have a good look through them and make your choice. Mid October and just in time for shredding we'll announce your winner.
A big shout out to those of who who participated and even those of you that didn't. We'll be doing more of this stuff throughout the season so keep your eyes peeled and email us your entries. We're giving away a grip load of gear this year and we want you to have some. Thanks!
